Lux Guitars c'est qui ? C'est quoi ?
Hey! Hi, I'm Rémi Lux from "Lux Guitars." To introduce myself in a few words, I'm an engineer by trade, an amateur bassist, and the grandson of a carpenter, but above all, I'm passionate about electric guitars and basses—especially the big F brand from the '50s and '60s.
So, what exactly is Lux Guitars? It's a bit of a crazy project that started in front of YouTube, watching dozens of videos of amateur and professional luthiers passionately building their custom instruments. And then one day, I thought... Why not me? So I started... in the kitchen of my small Parisian apartment. I gradually developed my knowledge and skills in making solid-body instruments. Meaning: "I made some pretty bad instruments, but I was really proud!"
Now, I have seven years of experience in the field, and I allow myself to think that my instruments are cool! That's why I offer them for sale. My motto: vintage-looking instruments, which explains why they all have a Nitro finish and are lightly to heavily "reliced."
Additionally, after facing some guitar setup issues, I developed a neck shim solution that I manufacture and sell on this site. So feel free to check it out—you might need one!
Today, I'm still an engineer, still passionate, but I left Paris for Nantes. I set up a proper workshop here, allowing me to refine my craft and create even cooler instruments. In the future, I'd love to offer custom instruments on order (I already do, but in very limited quantities). If you're interested, get in touch—we can find the perfect fit for you together!
